dont misunderstand me..but,i think that KeyEast shouldnt make announcements bout leader’s plans so soon/early..they,should let things to calmd down first..we,all know how hard it is to accept that HJL oppa is no longer on DSP..

I’ve only started to like SS501 as a group recently so I’m afraid I can’t fully realize the extent most people are feeling about HyunJoong leaving DSPEnt and the precarious situation the other’s are in, while they’re negotiating their contracts with said company. I’ve been following the news since yesterday, and granted, since I am a HyunJoong fan before I am an SS501 fan, I wasn’t too shocked (because I was praying that he goes to a better company, one that treats him well) but was affected by all the buzz from the major SS501 fans. I am left, right now, wanting to express my views on this.
KeyEAst seems to be a good company. And if the CEO himself is willing to meet up with HyunJoong–whether their past meetings were personal or business oriented, we can’t know–that says something about the care he has for this person. If he cares so much for his dongseng, then of course they’d try in their power to not disappoint the fans of HJ and SS501. And them sending out an email is an olive branch of peace. So instead of being confused with conflicting emotion, take it as a good thing. He’ll be in good hands.
I am sure no one wants to hurt anyone.
Remember that business is business. I hope fans realize that whenever they buy SS501 paraphernalia about 80% of the profit goes to the company and the 20% is shared amongst the members. If I remember in the days when I was a BackStreet Boy fan, I remember an interview Bryan said that “I’m not rich. For every album we sell, I get a few cents.” Now does that give you a perspective? They make their money from solo activities and endorsements.
But back to the matter at hand: HyunJoong’s switch to another company shouldn’t affect SS501 if HE SAYS HE STILL WANTS TO BE IN THE GROUP. Imagine being with your brothers for 7 years, and you’ve got to make that hard decision to move out. Everyone’s on edge, sure, but people have to grow.
I just hope KewEast handles his affairs well, and by the looks of this, right now. They’re doing a fine job.

As the initial shock starts to die down, I hope people see beyond the shock and awe of the “he changed companies” headline and start to see WHY. That’s why I waited, and that’s why I stood unperturbed by the emotional onslaught. Asking “WHY?” dramatically usually leaves you feeling unfulfilled anyways, too much emotional haze (that’s just me).
Anyway, in the “news” I sent you, it shows a different angle as to why he moved. And it’s more understandable.
101% agree with you..hyunjoong is in good hand right now but i feel pity on kyu. He is a good singer and a good person. I hope YG will let kyu part of the company..i’m beginning to like him now since khj protect him from DSP..DSP sucks!

Very thoughtful of KE. They are really fast on everything. Leader picked a right company. Hopefully, other four members also find a better company for themselves.
I don’t know what to say coz still in shock & sad..T-T.. Key East is too excited getting HJ and it hurts all the fans..didn’t even mention about the future of him with SS501..soo.. selfish of them..I’m more worry about the other 4 members’ future..T-T…i’m still waiting for HJ to give his own statement & will only believe in man who keeps his words.. why don’t KE takes the other 4 as well and does KE will expand his singing career as well or just acting or commercials.. i’ll be happy if there’s still separate agreement with DSP for SS501’s future or his singing career..
even if KE takes the other four, the SS501 name still belongs to DSP. And just because HJ goes to KE doesn’t mean it’s the RIGHT company for the other four. They’re FIVE individuals together as one. They’re NOT ONE individual as FIVE.
I appreciated your positive thinking. I still beleive that everyting has changed. When leader separated himself from group, it is no longer FIVE as one forever. However, his promise may reopen when his contract is expired. I will wait for that day. Leader should get a better pay now because he can have all 20%. He deserves for his har working. Good for him anyway.
@ Y-Min Of course everything has changed. The only constant in life *is* change. I maintain my rational stand on things, and my personal belief that one should not compound problems–because that’s how “major drama” happens, everything gets thrown in a hot pot and gets embroiled together; I prefer to separate things and then deal with them one at a time…
Again, as for his contract with Key West, refer to my comment above. And as for the group being together, realistically, this is why I’m not so much a fan of SS501 (as aforementioned I am first a HyunJoong fan then an SS501 casual fan), I cannot see, for the life of me, the individualities of the group. They’re different, yes, but they’re the same. And that is what drew me to HJ in the first place, his 4Dness is what sets him apart as a person within the group. (Forgive me, Moderator for bringing up another group name–I usually don’t name names as a personal policy, but I am most definitely a Big Bang fan, and I hope the rest of the readers respect my choice.)
On any case, about his promise, well…a person can only do so much against such a big company. DSP will be losing a lot of money because Hyunjoong left, and that’s probably why, as some articles floating around online have mentioned, he was bluffing on leaving in the beginning. Him leaving hurts DSP, which I think was the point of his bluffing anyway (as leverage to get Kyujoong–as other blogger’s SUPPOSITIONS say–a contract renewal) and his hands got tied in the end.
It’s not always about the money. It’s not always about the contract. It’s not always about what’s supposed to be right. Or how the fans feel. Granted those things are IMPORTANT.
But what’s more important is that a) He’s healthy b) he’s happy c) he’s got new opportunities d) he has respect (if not for himself, them from those close to him or those that matter to him)
Finally, addressing the FIVE AS ONE… Just because someone is related by blood to another person doesn’t make them ‘family’ and just because they’re NOT related by blood doesn’t mean they’re not family also. If HyunJoong knows, feels, and EXPRESSES verbally and physically, that these four other guys are his BROTHERS, then who are we do doubt? With that I’ll end with: even brothers have a life of their own…just look at Youngseng? He’s hardly mentioned in the hubbub because he’s doing SOLO activities in Japan.
i’m not gonna say anything now i’m just gonna wait for more news we still didn’t hear anything from DSP,hyun joong and all the members yet so…i still believe in SS501 will still be 5 as one forever ^^

I think that keyeast is an organized company. In this news, about making him more successful in both careers means to me that they’ll still let him continue being the leader of SS501 to surpass in Asia and also to be successful in being an actor. I think that they’ll fix this problem about SS501, coz I think that if HJL is not willing to continue SS501 then there’s no news about this and his friend wouldn’t say that his willingness is high. After all, his SS501 members is like his brother that he spent most of his life with, I think in that bond, you can’t just abandon them that easily. He may change his agency but it doesn’t mean that he changed his heart already. I also think that him changing agency will not stop those 5 men to continue being a group. 🙂 and i think he is having more fun in music than in acting. that’s just what I believe. I guess I just have to wait. 🙂

I wish for a great management company for KHJL, one which treats him like a loved friend. Thinking back, did his former company treat him great? He was injured and in pain, yet he was put to work for the “Love Ya” mv. It was hard for me to know that viewing the beautiful mv was the product of HJ working like crazy along while in great pain.
HJ makes tons of money for his company. Why be too greedy and stick to iron schedules with no flexibility even when your “golden star” is so tired at times. I hope this new company will manage HJ’s career with respect/care.

I always kinda knew Hyun Joong would somehow break hearts. I don’t mean that in a bashing kind of way at all. All fairy tale heroes break hearts.
I agree SS501’s not going to be the same without the lovely Leader but the man had to do what he had to do. Now the rest of the guys need to make a decision where they’re going. No news if DSP’s renewing their contract and it’s almost a month. That says something about the way DSP values their talents. Maybe that’s why HJL left.
Sad news but right now, the future of the five are still unconfirmed so all is not lost yet. I wish ’em all the luck, whichever way they go. We have the memories of the last five years to smile about.

It’s a bittersweet feeling for me, not a single trace of SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong. From now, Keyeast’s label for him, would be Kim Hyun Joong.
just want to let you know that Keyeast has revised the profile and it has updated the award SS501 received. It seems that they are still working in progress. Let wait and see what is going on befor you get to any conclusion.
After few days of thinking..I started to believe Hyun Joong’s decision will bring SS501 to good & success future..I think it is not his fault but DSP might be the reason for this conflict..hope the others will have best solution & I believe in him now…I know he’s trying hard to solve this problem & he won’t disappoints us..!!
